Loved this! Walking is the loveliest way to discover what's around us. I like your chirpy greeting to all and sundry - I do this too, and if the other person doesn't greet back, I try not to take it personally but tell myself 'they're probably hard of hearing'!
This is interesting and inspiring. Sarah. Thanks for telling another side of Ocean View - the media only write about gang fights! I live nearby, in Glencairn, and am really pleased you're writing this newsletter.
I used to walk daily in my neighbourhood to fetch my children from senior primary school and really valued the regular interaction with passers-by, not to mention the forced exercise. They are now grown up and out of the home, and I confess to being very lazy about walking. Your post is a happy reminder of what it was like before I could so easily avoid leaving the house.
Gorgeous! "Pounding out prayers"..."tiny but holy".... Love love love.
Thanks my sis xx

Let's just keep saying hello to everyone and create kindness!

Thanks so much for following, Jo. I have 16 years of stories! Happy to have you along!

Thanks Leanne! Yes I love all the mundane beauty of our communities. We often miss it!
